Morizo Shimizu's confident creation, the D Zone spinnerbait is engineered for competitive fishing. This is a specialized spinnerbait designed to trigger strikes from trophy-sized bass. Its design prioritizes performance, even if it means pushing the limits of durability. The overwhelming power of the D Zone far outweighs any potential weaknesses.
Born from the same concept as a formula race car, focused on a single race, the D Zone is Morizo Shimizu's tournament-special spinnerbait. Experience the irresistible action that only D Zone can deliver, drawing in those elusive big bass, and the power to hook and land them with unwavering certainty. This is Morizo Shimizu's confidence in a competitive spinnerbait.
Hammered Blades: These blades produce complex, erratic reflections of light. The shape and thickness have been rigorously tested to achieve both quick startup and smooth rotation during slow retrieves, while also maximizing water displacement. Each blade size is uniquely designed – not simply scaled – to achieve the ideal vibration, angle, and speed desired by Morizo Shimizu.
Special-Shape Light Wire Arm: The light wire upper arm, with its unique curved shape, amplifies blade vibration and transmits it directly to the head. Its length is carefully designed to barely cover the hook point, balancing excellent obstacle avoidance with a high hookup ratio. This also increases the probability of converting blade strikes into solid hooksets.
Beads: The beads are fixed in front of and behind the blade. Securing the front blade prevents unnecessary sliding, stabilizing blade rotation during retrieves and minimizing lure instability during casts, resulting in outstanding casting distance.
Soldered Split Rings: All split rings are soldered to prevent blade loss.
Low Center of Gravity Head: The head's front-heavy, low center of gravity design allows it to receive water at the front, creating a head-shaking vibration while the gill-like grooves strategically release water, improving its ability to maintain its depth.
Round Bend Small Hook: The small hook efficiently transfers hooking power, even with the light wire arm, for a high hookup rate. Once hooked, the minimal play reduces the chance of the hook hole widening during headshakes, preventing lost fish.
The Double Willow Leaf model delivers maximum flash. The front and rear blades have different cup shapes. The front blade rotates narrowly, while the rear blade rotates widely. This setup minimizes vibration reduction caused by interference between the front and rear blades, producing a crisp, pleasant vibration. Ideal for clear to stained water.
The D Zone is designed for competitive fishing, prioritizing catching a single big bass, even at the risk of potential breakage. Avoid lifting the fish with the rod or other high-stress landing methods, as this can increase the risk of damage. We recommend using a net whenever possible. To prevent arm breakage, avoid striking the D Zone against the water surface when removing tangled weeds. As a general guideline, replace the D Zone after catching approximately three bass in the 1kg/40cm class to prevent breakage.
