About this piece
The Daiwa Gekkabijin Furari 55F is a slow-floating, lipless minnow designed for coastal rockfish (mebaru) fishing in harbors, rocky shores, and surf zones. Its weight-transfer system ensures stable casting accuracy and distance, while the slow-floating body stays near the surface without rising too quickly.
Key features
- Lipless construction with a built-in weight-transfer system for precise casts
- Slow-floating design allows the lure to drift with current when retrieved
- Equipped with two Saksas treble hooks (#12) for improved short-bite hook-up
- Rolls naturally just below the surface (approx. 15 cm) on a straight retrieve
Best for
- Targeting mebaru (black rockfish) in coastal and surf zones
- Slow-rolling or stop-and-go presentations under high fishing pressure
- Fishing from shore, rocks, or boats near the surface layer
